What should I do if I suspect a gas leak or carbon monoxide?
Leave the house first. Call the gas utility and 911 from outside, and do not switch anything on or off on your way out. Once the property is safe, call us and we will inspect the heat exchanger and combustion before the system goes back into service.
Do you charge more for an after-hours call?
You get the price before any work begins, at any hour, and you approve it first. There is no blank cheque and no surprise on the invoice.
How do I cool the house while I wait for a technician?
Close blinds on the sunny side, keep interior doors open so what air movement you have can circulate, run bathroom and kitchen extractor fans to push hot air out, and move to the lowest floor. If anyone in the house is vulnerable to heat, tell us when you call — that changes how we triage it.
